North Cascades National Park

Newhalem, Washington, United States

22 July, 2022

One of the most underrated and underappreciated national parks in the United States, North Cascades rivals the beauty of Canada's Banff, Jasper, and Yoho National Parks. But unlike those incredibly popular parks, very few people know that North Cascades even exists. Sitting less than 5 miles from the Canadian border, its remoteness can make it a challenge just to get to. But once you're there, you're rewarded with unbeatable vistas, breathtaking scenery, and few other people. And it's a great place to escape the summer heat, too. Most of the park's high peaks have snow on them year-round.
